Welcome to The Eternal, a vampire-themed BTS fanzine! This project focuses on artwork and writing surrounding all seven BTS members with a fictional vampiric concept.Put together by an already assembled team of 5 mods, 32 artists, 7 writers, and 5 merch artists, The Eternal is aiming to be in your hands by Halloween 2024!

GENERAL FAQ

WHAT IS A FANZINE OR ZINE?
A fanzine or zine is a collection of works created by fans revolving around a certain theme or fandom. It's usually produced as a book (sometimes with accompanying merchandise) or a digital PDF.WHAT IS THIS ZINE ABOUT?
The Eternal is a fanzine centered around BTS with a vampire theme. We will be working on this zine in early 2024 so we can try to ship everything out just in time for Halloween!WILL THERE BE APPLICATIONS?
We will not be hosting applications for The Eternal, as the mods and contributors have already gathered together to bring you cool, spooky vampire Tannie fun! The team hard at work will be revealed soon, so keep an eye out!IS THIS ZINE FOR-PROFIT?
This zine will be for-profit. The profits will all be pooled together and divided amongst contributors who have the option of receiving their shares or donating it to charity. The organization donated to will be chosen by mods and contributors and announced online.DO THE MODS HAVE EXPERIENCE RUNNING ZINES?

Both gen and shipping content will be allowed.HOW MANY CONTRIBUTORS WILL BE WORKING ON THE ZINE?
There will be a total of 44 contributors! 32 page artists, 7 writers, and 5 merch artists.WHAT WILL THE SIDE ZINE BE ABOUT?
The side zine will host NSFW vampire content! It is voluntary for contributors to participate in it, and will be offered as an add-on during pre-orders!

CONTRIBUTOR FAQ

WHAT ARE THE ZINE SPECS?
Our zine will be hardcover, A5 sized, and with various merch options. Templates will be provided!CAN WE USE OLD ARTWORK AS OUR CONTRIBUTION TO THE ZINE?
All pieces should be new, original works specifically created for the zine.ONCE THE ZINE IS FINISHED, WILL I STILL HAVE THE RIGHTS TO MY WORK?
Yes! We ask that while the zine is still actively going through creation periods, preorders, leftover sales, etc, that you do not share, post, or sell your work until the mods have given you the go ahead to do so. But you will retain all rights to your work upon the zine's completion and the zine will not retain its rights to distribute your work.DO I NEED TO HAVE EXPERIENCE IN PRODUCING MERCH BE A MERCH ARTIST?
It's not a requirement for you to have made physical merch before! The mods will be the ones handling the actual merch production, so we can work with you to make sure your design is following the required specifications.DO I NEED TO SUPPLY THE MERCH MYSELF IF I AM A MERCH ARTIST?
No! The mods have already begun deciding on manufacturers to use since we have already begun running finances. You do not need to supply the merch––the mods will give you the specs to work under and we will handle all purchasing and manufacturing for the items.HOW WILL CONTRIBUTORS AND MODS COMMUNICATE?
There will be major updates in the form of emails, but we will heavily be relying on Discord for most of our communication. It's a requirement that you have an account to participate in the zine. While you're not required to engage in conversation or partake in any social interactions within the server, we still require you to join it so you can keep up with our announcements and updates!WILL CONTRIBUTORS RECEIVE A FREE COPY OF THE ZINE?
All contributors will receive the digital zine for free! Although, our goal is to sell enough of the zine to compensate all contributors with full bundles as thanks for contributing their time and efforts. This is just dependent on sales.
